About two months ago, the AUCC got a new building site in down town Accra The president of AUCC, Mr. Kojo Yankah working around the clock transformed this dead beaten building into a modern facility for learning, teaching and research. It started with an email with EO about the position of a country lead for Ghana after a few days, decided to send in my long CV and for effects, posted my CV online using google docs of course. After couple of days, SP called me for a thirty minutes of interview then another mail came with details about on site interview with three wise men- two business development officers and director and one technical guru - NA, MB and MS(no Microsoft pun intended) The interview took one and half hours on Friday, an interesting way to start Friday night with an extreme fast interview. The interview went well but went blank on one question, not sure why the guy with all answers could go struggle with an answer but some times it happens. Can not figure out an excuse for this one. This is a short vivid description of my quickie with Google LOL

Canonizer.com is a Wikipedia type collaborative information system with some added structure to handle point of view (POV) information. Each canonizer “topic” has an “agreement statement” that is much like a wikipedia article. At opening ceremony - Diana Senghor- PIWA DIRECTOR Gave a background to the regional workshop on Medias and ICT issues in West Africa, namely the first and second workshops. And she mentioned that the third stage of the revolution mirrored by this workshop is the use of technology to tell the west African story by West Africans. She share with the groups past project by Panos to get radio stations to share content but there was a lot of , especially the challenge of getting radio production to a central pool for distribution. She said by using new technologies today some of the problems can be resolved. In order to ensure West African voices is heard, another project was coverage of major events by journalists from West Africa. She said new technologies have opened a lot of opportunities, even in less democratic countries, journalists can get their voices heard through new technologies. The instructor, Greg Davis is the former Director of eLearning for American Express using Elluminate Live expertly took us through the two sessions: Designing and Developing Virtual Classroom Training took place on November 7, 2007 (Two hours thirty minutes) and Managing and Facilitating Virtual Classroom Training took place on November 8, 2007(Two hours thirty minutes) The courses were free of charge but prior registration was required to participate in this course.
