Improving the quality of journalism using web 2.0 – a practical training workshop

The International Institue of Journalism (penplusbytes) and Ghana Journalists Association with the suppport of the French Embassy in Accra is organsing a two day workshop for Twenty (20) Editors, Senior Journalists and Journalism Educators in Accra.
The workshop which runs from 10th to 11th October 2007 is being held under the theme: Improving the Quality of Journalism;Using Web 2.0

African Media To Promote Geospatial Science

The United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) has established a forum aimed at enhancing the capacity of the media in the promotion, advocacy and awareness-creation of Geospatial Information Science (GIS) on the African continent. Geospatial Information Science refers to the technology used for the measurement, analysis and visualisation of features or spatial phenomenon occurrences. SMS via Web
